Jennifer Cook: President, is the owner of Kootenay Columbia Financial Services.  She has lived in the area for the last 15 years.  Jennifer was a board member for 6 years and then took a year off, she has returned to the board this year.  Jennifer also teaches chicks on sticks at Red Mountain during the winter months and loves skiing.  She enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and mountain biking.

Juris Harlamovs:  Vice-President – Juris and Madeleine have lived in the Trail area since 1987. James, their son who had a severe seizure disorder, passed away in 2007. Juris  works in the Applied Research and Technology group at Trail Operations and volunteers for several organizations. He is a director for the Fruitvale Community Chest, he is a Rotarian with the Waneta Trail Sunrise club and is currently the chair of the Beaver Valley May Days Society. Juris is currently on the building and safety, HR and financial committees with the TACL Board of Directors. Juris enjoys playing squash, bridge and all things philosophical.

Wendy HackettTreasurer – I take great pride in always calling Trail my home.  This community has been a great place to grow up and live in.  The majority of my employment career has been in the management field.  I was approached by a board member asking if I would be interested in joining the Trail Association for Community Living as a director and thought that would be a wonderful way to give back to our community.  I have been on the board for a year and look forward to the upcoming years.

William Westcott: Recording Secretary – has been a member of the TACL board and volunteer since moving to Trail in 1997. Mr. Westcott is also a member of the Selkirk College Board of Governors. A lawyer in private practice, Mr. Westcott is a past president of the Kootenay Bar Association and maintains his membership with the Law Society of Saskatchewan. A longtime advocate for persons with facing barriers, he is a former volunteer for and current member of the South Peace Child Development Society and volunteered for the Schizophrenia Society of Saskatchewan.

Jeannette JarvieDirector – worked for TACL for 13 years as our Administration Assistant, she retired in 2006.  Jeannette brings extensive board experience having also been on the Board of Directors for Special Olympics and FAIR. Jeannette says she is enjoying her retirement, spending time golfing and swimming as well as with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jeannette joined the board this year and brings great knowledge of TACL to the board and is a strong advocate for the people that we support.

Jim Rees:  Director – has been a member and director on and off since 1990.  He was a Founding Member of the Children’s Development Centre back in 1970.  Jim  had a son supported by Microboard for 10 year.  He served as a member of The Interim Authority prior to the establishment of CLBC in 2003.
